My story is the same as every other guy who goes to the gym. At first everything starts off simple. You do some basic exercises and you see a bit of success. Doing this gained me about 10lbs. in 2 years.
Gradually my workouts became a complicated mess. I kept changing my workout every time I read a new "miracle" program. My progress came to a complete stop, I even quit working out for over a year. Those "miracle" programs just turned out to be mistakes.
I blame scrawny authors writing garbage information for holding me back from getting bigger. In retrospect, I have no idea why I was listening to authors who don't even look like they workout. If you want to learn to climb a mountain, listen to someone who has already done it. Don't listen to the guy who sits around all day writing theories about how to do it. I also blame myself for thinking I knew anything about training in the first place.
I don't remember where I came across the advertisement for Muscle Gaining Secrets, but I remember that at first I was skeptical. First off all the name of the book sounds like such a scam, second the website looks like a bunch of bullshit.
I was still intrigued though and after a bit of background research on the author, I decided to buy it. Jason Ferruggia looked like he knew what he was talking about and had trained more than 700 athletes from over 90 different NCAA, NFL, NHL and MLB teams.
When I received the book I was suprised. I thought it would be a run of the mill training manual. I was wrong! Jason Ferruggia, somehow manages to combine stories of Spanish pick pockets, gym brawls, and a Scottish giant with some of the best training information I have ever read.
After I read through the book I was psyched to get to the gym. I wanted to put the program to the test and I wanted to finally make progress again. I followed the routines in the book exactly and 4 months later I was up 25lbs. I wasn't ripped but I got pretty big, and that is all I wanted in the first place. My strength also went up. I finally hit 315lbs in the bench press and got my deadlift up to 5 plates. My squat has always been bad, but at least now I can do reps with 3 plates in the Olympic squat.
Lets make 1 thing clear. I busted my ass to gain that weight and strength, and you will have to also. These are not long drawn out workouts, you go in work hard for a short period of time, and go home. If you can't do that, don't even bother purchasing the book, you will just be wasting your money.
Even though Jason Ferruggia's viewpoint towards training is hardcore, this program is very intelligently designed. Jason is a proponent of low volume, medium rep workouts done 3-4 days per week, with a focus on strength. He explains in great detail, why he uses this system with his athletes.Jason doesn't bombard the reader with scientific mumbo jumbo and he doesn't expect the users of the book to live in a bubble. What other muscle building author doesn't ridicule you for wanting to get drunk once in awhile? Jason Ferruggia seems genuinely concerned with helping the reader advance in their training, through sound advice, rather than furthering his own "guru" status.
Muscle Gaining Secrets will appeal to all people who train with weights, regardless of their experience level. There is nothing on the market that comes remotely close to matching the information or presentation of this book. I wish I had found it sooner. - Larry
P.S. Buy the book, you have nothing to lose since Jason is offering a 2 month money back guarantee.
